Ellen (Bokowski) Torre 89 of East Haven passed away June 30, 2017 at Watrous House in Madison. She was born December 10, 1927 in New Haven to John and Margaret (Landa) Bokowski. Ellen is survived by her three children, Richard Torre of Montana, Diane Torre of Hamden and David Torre of East Haven. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Alison Torre, Elise Healey (Jonathan) and Susan Torre along with four great grandchildren, River Torre-Jandreau, Anna Healey, Zoe Healey and Chase Healey. Ellen is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jane Adams, Frances Sinski, Stella Mikolinski, Marion Duda, John Bokowski and Edward Bokowski.
Ellen enjoyed spending time with her family, going bowling, ceramics and playing the lotto.
Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday July 6, 2017 at 11 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 80 Taylor Ave. East Haven. Burial will be private. Funeral services are in the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
