Charles Woychowski, 83, of Orange passed away on April 9, 2018 at Smilow Cancer Hospital. He was born February 3, 1935 in Branford to the late Charles and Mary (Bodner) Woychowski. Charles is survived by Marsha, his loving wife of 37 years and children Justin Woychowski (Jillian) of West Haven, Chuck Woychowski of CA, Karen Korittke of Cheshire, Stephen Cohen (Barbara) of Bethany, Cathy Rudzinski (Tom) of Wallingford, and Joanie Onofrio of East Hartford. Charles is also survived by grandchildren Justin & Corey Woychowski, Jenna & Samantha Korittke, Sophie Cohen, Eric Rudzinski, Melissa Anziano, Michael & Joseph Onofrio, along with numerous nieces & nephews. Charles is the last survivor of 10 children.

He served two years in the U.S. Army in Germany as a Radio Operator in the 97th Signal Battalion. He worked as a Senior Engineer at Pratt & Whitney for many years and then became Chief Engineer and Quality Control Manager for the Bigelow Boiler Co. until his retirement. His work required extensive travel overseas. He spent his last 10 years enjoying his time as Grandpa to Justin.

A private graveside service with Full Military Honors was held at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) of East Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
