In New Haven, July 3,2007, Ruth E. Hardenburgh, wife of the late Robert F. Hardenburgh passed away at her home. Born Dec. 27,1919 in New Haven a daughter of the late Charles and Alphonsine Anthonis Van Egghen, she retired from R.H. Macy Co. after several years as a manager for several depaartments. Ruth will be remambered most for all the years she knitted for family and friends. Another source of joy for Ruth were her past summers spent at Mansfield Grove among so many longtime friends. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Pirolo and herb husband Carmen of North Branford and son John Hardenburgh and wife Christine of Franklin,MA. She was predeceased by a son Robert F. Hardenburgh Jr. She will be sadly missed by grandaughters Susan ( Richard ) Prisely of Westbrook and Samantha, Charlotte and Jacqueline Hardenburgh all of Franklin,MA and two great grandchildren Tyler and Kayla Prisley. She also leaves two sisters, Frances Goering and Germaine Lepre and a brother Louis ( Bud) VanEgghen, all of Branford. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Sat. morning at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 9;00. Burial in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Friday 4 - 8 PM.
