In New Haven, Aug. 4,2008 Virginia Cavallaro Ferrigno,89, formerly of 1 Grant St., East Haven. Wife of the late Angelo Ferrigno, Mother of Robert (Patricia) Ferrigno of Hamden, Thomas (Kate) Ferrigno of Gaithersburg, MD, and Annette Day of Newton, MA. Grandmother of Christopher and Patrick Day, Robin, Ross, Brianna, Jennifer, Brian and Jeffrey Ferrigno. Great grandmohter of North Ferrigno. Sister of Anna Langello and Mary Albano, both of East Haven, Lillian Sparago of West Haven, Joseph Cavallaro of Hamden and the late Vera D'Albis, Rose Vigiotti,and Owen, Carmen, Francis, Julia Cavallaro. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born Oct. 31,1948 in New Haven a daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa Cannavaciolo Cavallaro, she was a graduate of the former Commercial High School in New Haven and was employed for many years as the bookkeeper for the family business, A. Ferrigno and Sons. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Thursday morning at 11:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 12 noon. Entombment will follow in All Saints Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may Call Wednesday Aug. 6th from 5pm - 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Yale-New Haven Hospital, 20 York St., New Haven, CT 06510. www.clancyfuneralhome.com
