In New Haven, Aug. 20, 2008, Andrew D’Albis, 85, former longtime resident of Tyler St., East Haven. Husband of the late Elvera D. Cavallaro D’Albis. Father of Annette (Joseph) Pelliccia, Joanne (William) Richardson, and Andrea (James) Farrell, all of East Haven. Grandfather of Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Richardson, Jonathan Richardson, Justin Richardson, Thomas Pelliccia, Stephen Pelliccia, Lauren Farrell and Christopher Farrell. Brother of Marie “Dolly” Melnyson of Branford, Trofimena Terry “Toot” Conway of East Haven, Pasquale D’Albis of Hamden and the late John D’Albis. Born March 31, 1923 in New Haven a son of the late Anselmo and Antoinette Cicarelli D’Albis., he served with the US Army Rainbow Division, Company L during WWII. Mr. D’Albis was employed as a machinist for over forty years with the former Henry G. Thompson Co. and after retiring from there he worked for Goody’s Hardware Store in East Haven. He was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in East Haven. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Friday morning at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 9:00. Burial with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday August 21st from 4:00pm till 8:00pm.
