In New Haven, Nov. 20, 2008, Dino Ricci, 86, of Glenmoor Dr., East Haven. Beloved husband of the late Mary Golden Ricci. Father of Dennis R. Ricci of East Haven, Michael (Kathy ) Ricci of Guilford, Barbara ( John ) Mannion of Guilford, Frances ( George ) Rose of Darien, Deborah ( John ) Askintowicz of Ashburn,VA and Karen Ricci of Branford. Grandfather of Kate Mannion, John Mannion, Tim Mannion, Erica Rose, Mike Rose, Kelly Mannion and Jake Askintowicz. Brother of the late Battista Battista. Born Sept. 11, 1922 in New Haven a son of the late Alfredo and Irminia Bilochi Ricci, he was a graduate of the former Commercial High School and had served with the US Navy during WW2. Mr. Ricci was employed for over forty five years as a union steelworker with Detroit Steel Co. in Hamden. After his family, his greatest joy was playing golf, especially with the Wingding League at the Alling Memorial Golf Club in New Haven. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Monday morning at 10:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 10:30. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Friends may call Sunday from 3 – 7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492.
