Katherine Ottenbreit Giannelli, 95, of Hall St., New Haven, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2008. She was the wife of the late Angelo Giannelli and the daughter of the late Peter and Tessie Ciskowski Ottenbreit. Lovingly referred to as “Babci”, she was a friend to many and will be sorely missed. Besides doting on her family, Babci loved her roses and her garden. Katherine leaves behind her son Antonio (Karen) Giannelli of Michigan and her daughter Barbara (Jim) French of Clinton, six grandchildren, Allison, Kristen, Lauren, David, Douglas and Steven, and two great grandsons, Dominic and Vincent, a sister Jadwiga Wenziak and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughters Tessie and Helen, a sister Frances Parzyck and brothers Julius and Marian Ottenbreit. She was employed at O.F. Mossberg until her retirement, was a member of the Annex Ladies Auxiliary and the East Shore Senior Center. Katherine had many good times going to BINGO, the casino and on various bus trips. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Saturday morning 10:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernadette Church, Townsend Ave., New Haven at 10:30. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Friends may call Friday from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, CT 06405.
