In Branford, with his loving family at his side, George A. Corso, 80, of French Ave., East Haven. Beloved husband for over fifty two years of Mary Dickerson Corso. Loving father of Thomas W. (Deborah) Corso of West Haven, David R. Corso of East Haven and Karen (James) Carey of East Haven. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Thomas, Amanda, Anthony, Christine and Jack Corso and Jim, Jordan and Shannon Carey. He was predeceased by a sister Anna DeRosa. Born September 4.1928, in New Haven, a son of the late Gaetano and Loiuse”Edith” Aguzzi Corso, he was a graduate of the former Commercial High School in New Haven and served with the US Army during the Korean War. Mr.Corso worked for over thirty three years with Local # 33, Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos workers union. He also had worked for the former Henry G. Thompson Co. and United Illuminating Co. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Wednesday Morning at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 9:00. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8pm. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach rd., Branford, CT 06405. George’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at CT Hospice who took loving and dignified card of him in his final days.
