Obituary of Edward T. Provitz

In New Haven, February 20, 2009, Edward T. Provitz Jr., 64, of St. Andrews Ave., East Haven. Beloved husband of Carol A. Caprio Provitz. Loving father of Edward(Patricia) Provitz of East Haven, Lisa Marie (Joseph) Rosenthal of Branford and Gregg Matthew Provitz of East Haven. Cherished grandfather of Edward Provitz, Hannah Rosenthal, Lisa Provitz and David Rosenthal. Born June 23, 1944 in New Haven a son of the late Edward T. and Norma Coady Provitz Sr., he was a graduate of Wilbur Cross High Scholl, class of 1962 and was employed for many years by Com Net Communications Co., where he was a senior telecommunications technician. He was employed by Carpenters union local # 24 and was a member of the Communications Workers of America union local # 1107. He also was a member of the Italian American Club in Branford. While taking care of his family was his main concern in life, in his spare time, Edward loved to participate in outdoor activities, especially fishing and golf. HE DID IT HIS WAY. Friends may call at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Wednesday from 4-7pm. A service of prayer and remembrance will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours at 7pm
