In Hamden, March 15, 2009, Walter L. Grudzinski, 90, a resident of the Arden House, Hamden, former longtime resident of Richmond St., East Haven. Husband of the late Mary Keyes Grudzinski. Father of the late James Grudzinski. Father in law of Denise Grudzinski - Ross of Branford. Grandfather of Leigh Grudzinski of Branford and Liza Grudzinski of Newburgh, NY. Also survived by special nephews, Paul Keyes and Rev. Eugene Charman, a special niece Eleanor Stefanowski and many other nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by sisters, Jean, Genevieve and Fannie and a brother Stanley. Born July 22, 1918 in New Haven a son of the late Anthony and Agnes Betner Grudzinski, he was a WW 2 US Navy veteran and had worked for many years as a plumber at Pratt- Whitney. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Friday morning at 10:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 11:00. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Friday morning from 9:00 - 10:30. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation, 3520 Lake Ave., Suite 202, Wilmette. IL, 60091-1064.
