At Home, Sept. 29, 2009, Alice Chandler Pierson, 92, of Vera St. East Haven.
Wife of the late Clinton H. Pierson. Mother of Barbara Rita of Norwich, Jean
Way Koenig of Cromwell, Ruth Wetmore of East Haven and the late Fay From. Sister
of the late Thurma Mae Lenkalis and Wendell Chandler. Also survived by several
grandchildren and great grandchildren. Born April 9, 1917 in Hamden a daughter of
the late Clarence and Mabel DeMarcey Chandler, she was a graduate of the former
Commercial High School in New Haven and was employed for many years by the New York-
New Haven- Hartford Railroad and also the Edward Malley Co. She was a member of
the East Haven Senior Citizens and Old Stone Church in East Haven.
Funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in the Clancy Funeral Home,
43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden.
Friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00 until time of service.
