In New Haven October 9, 2009 Edward E. Buechele 82, of Oregon Ave. East Haven. Beloved husband of Ruth (Botwright) Buechele. Loving father of Ronald R. Buechele of Largo, Fl., Michael M., Kenneth K., and Bruce B. Buechele all of East Haven, Donald D. Buechele and Sandra Fitzgerald both of North Haven, brother of Judith Gode of Cheshire. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Predeceased by 2 sons Philip and Arthur Buechele and 2 brothers Robert and Donald Buechele. Mr. Buechele was born in Waterbury August 21, 1927 son of the late Julius and May (Egan) Buechele. Edward was a WWII Navy veteran. He had worked at C.W. Blakeslee & Sons in New Haven and in Branford. He was a member of the American legion Post 89, St. Clare Men's Club, Boy Scouts of America, and East Haven Gridiron Club. Edward was a fireman with the Bradford Manor Hose Co. and was a 2nd Lieutenant, 1st Lieutenant, Captain, Drill Master, and a member of the board of directors and was an original signing member of Local 1205, E.H.F.D. Funeral from Clancy Funeral Home 43 Kirkham Ave. East Haven, Tuesday at 8:30am. Mass of Christian Burial at 9a.m. in St. Clare Church. Burial in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Father Michael McGivney Cancer Center 1450 Chapel St. New Haven, 06511.
