Obituary of Dolly Baroncini

Vincenza (DeCerbo) Baroncini “Dolly” 84 of New Haven passed away peacefully on October 11, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born June 20, 1933 in New Haven to Antonio and Philomena (Boggia) DeCerbo. Dolly is survived by three loving children, Charlene Baroncini of New Haven, Sharon Riendeau (David) of New Haven and Joseph Baroncini of New Haven along with one granddaughter, Brianna Baroncini. She is also survived by nieces, Linda Ioime (Vincent), Philomena Barecchia (Alex), Marie Barecchia (Vincenzo) and Suzie Caldiera (Frank) and a sister-in-law, Elena DeCerbo. Dolly is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl Baroncini (2004), daughter, Sandra Baroncini (2012) and siblings, Orsula, Josephine, Catherine and Anthony. Dolly loved her family and friends. She loved animals of all kind. She found a pit bull on the street took him home and named him Teddy. He became her loving pet for 12 years. She was kind to everyone. Strangers would become friends. She cooked for the homeless shelter in New Haven. She loved her time with her friends at the East Shore Senior Center and the trips they would take to the Mohegan Sun Casino. Her best friend in her life was Rose Marie Gaetano. Dolly retired from Sargent Assa Abloy with over 18 years of service. She loved to travel. Italy was her favorite of all trips. She even was engaged in Rome. She was always on the go all the time nothing held her back. Whatever Dolly wanted to do in life she did. Daughter Sharon called her GoGo Dolly. Now go Dolly travel in Heaven with the Lord you love very much. Give Sandy a big hug and kiss from us. We will miss you so much. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 731 Main Street, Branford CT at 12 PM (NOON) on Monday, October 16, 2017 with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven. Funeral services are in the care of Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
