Obituary of Anthony Bernardo

Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anthony Bernardo 60 of Branford passed away November 24, 2017 at home. He was born April 4, 1957 in New Haven to Anthony and Claire (Bertie) Bernardo. Anthony is survived by his loving mother, Claire Bernardo of Branford, daughter, Maranda Banfield (Brian) of CA, sister, MaryAnne Bernardo of Branford, twin nieces, Daniela and Nicole Pechinski and a great niece, Ashlynn Parrino. Anthony grew up in East Haven, but lived a good portion of his life in the Hartford region. He obtained a Master's degree in English, and one in Library Science. He had a passion for reading and music. He adored his daughter Maranda and recently had the pleasure and the honor to see her marry. We enjoyed many laughs together and I will always treasure those memories; he especially loved the holidays, Christmas in particular! This Christmas will definitely be different without his presence. Rest in peace my friend, my brother - loving father, son, brother, uncle and great uncle! We love you! Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 2 PM until the time of service at 5 PM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven CT. Burial will be private.
