Mariano J. “Mac” Logioco, 89, a resident of the Bayside Manor, Keensburg, NJ, formerly of Burwell St., New Haven passed away November 6, 2009 at his home. Husband of the late Marjorie R. DeWolfe Logioco. Father of John W.. (Marie) Logioco of Middletown, NJ and Janet DeMaio of New Haven. Grandfather of John W. Logioco Jr., of Fairhaven, NJ and Jeffrey W. Logioco of Jamestown, RI. Great grandfather of Oliver W. Logioco and Tucker W. Logioco. Brother of Mary Genera of Guilford, Florence Stanio of Orange and the late John J. Logioco and Thomas G. Logioco. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born November 11, 1919 in New Haven a son of the late Gaetano and Frances Angeloni Logioco, he was a graduate of Hillhouse High School and attended the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry. Prior to his retirement in 1974 he was employed for many years at the University of Southern Connecticut where he retired as Maintenance Supervisor. Mr. Logioco was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in East Haven and was a co-founder and past president of the Annex YMA in1938. He was a caring son, devoted husband and loving father who adored his grandsons. His quiet ways, generosity and warm smile endeared him to everyone. He loved the Yankees and Giants, and was passionate about the UCONN Women’s Basketball Team. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Wed morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 9:30. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday prior to the Mass from 8:00 – 9:00.
