In Hospice, Dec. 28, 2009 of Osmond St., East Haven, husband of the late Linda Marello DeFrancisco and beloved father of Carol Cretella and her husband, Vincent of Old Saybrook, Marge DeFrancisco and Rosemary DeFrancesco both of Guilford and the late Carl E. DeFrancisco, brother of Sara Lesage of Hebron and the late Marie Peterson, Edward and Joseph DeFrancisco, grandfather of Morgan Ehrler, Mark Lesage and Melissa DeFrancisco, great grandfather of Aiden and Ashton, brother-in-law of Virginia and Al Melillo and Ernest Marello; also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousin Anthony Pepe and dear friends, Rosemary and Joseph Bufano Mr. DeFrancisco was born in New Haven, March 1, 1925, son of the late John and Margaret Pepe DeFrancisco. He was a 39 year employee of the former Winchester Repeating Arms Co. and had served for many years as a bus driver for the East Haven Board of Education. He was a long time resident 'of East Haven, a parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Church and an Army veteran of World II. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial in Green Lawn Cemetery will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. The Clancy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
