Obituary of Lynn Leary Willard

On Janurary 10,2010 Lynn Leary Willard, 59, ended her long battle with cancer in the care of Connecticut Hospice of Branford, Ct surrounded by her devoted children, family and friends. She is the daughter of Evelyn Shoemaker Leary of East Haven, CT, sister of Jack and Jim Leary of East Haven,Ct and mother of Amy Willard of Washington D.C., Matt Willard of San Francisco,CA and Brad Willard of Brooklyn, NY. Born December 14,1950 in New Haven, she was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School of New Haven and receive a Bachelor's in English from the Catholic University of America in Washington,DC. She had been employed by the Elizabeth Arden Agency of New York City, and Herman Miller of New York City before becoming a loving mother with many years of dedicated volunteer work at Rowayton Elementary School in Norwalk, Ct. Friends may call at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, THURSDAY from 4 - 8 pm. A Mass will be celebrated SATURDAY morning January 16th at 9:00 in St. Elizabeth Church, Branford. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Lynn Leary Willard to St. Raphael's McGivney Canter Center HOIT Unit, 1450 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT where she received 14 years of incomparable, heartful care.
