I was so sad to hear of Bobby joining Kevin in Heaven. Bobby had a heart of gold and was always there when someone needed him. I remember when my son was born 6 weeks early and we were told he wouldn't come home, only to come home 5 days later. We scurried because we didn't even have the crib yet. Next thing I know, Bobby pulls into the backyard with the crib his kids had grown out of. He was also such a kidder and always put a smile on your face. Jan and children, I am so very sorry for your loss. And his death is a very great loss.

Bob was one of the most special people I have met during my time in medicine. There are few people as brave, funny, and selfless as him. He truly cared for everyone he met and gave the world so much positivity. He dealt with his illnesses with unmatched bravery and with a smile. He might be gone, but he will never be forgotten as he will live through all the numerous people he touched.
I'll miss you, Bob. But I know you're keeping them on their toes in heaven.
