Josephine “Auntie Josie & Nonnie” (Cuomo) Cipriani 98 of New Haven was born to Giuseppe and Michelina (Ferriola) Cuomo on November 15, 1919. She is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Louis Cipriani (2000) and grandson, Daniel Teevan Watson Jr. (2015), brothers, Lawrence and Anthony Cuomo, sisters, Gabriella (Cuomo) Delgrego, Madeline (Cuomo) Diglio and Angelina (Cuomo) Swanson Jenkins. Josephine is survived by two daughters, Josephine (Cipriani) Watson (Daniel Watson Sr.) of East Haven, Jeanette (Cipriani) Freund (widow of Arthur Freund), granddaughter, Marybeth (Watson) Quilghini (John Quilghini), three great grandchildren, Conor G. Leary-Watson, Caelan F. Watson, and Liam Daniel Teevan Watson and several nieces and nephews and their families. She will always be known and remembered for her and Uncle Louie's family gatherings at the Cuomo Homestead. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 11:30 AM in St. Therese Catholic Church, 555 Middletown Ave., North Haven with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Funeral services are in the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
