Obituary of Madeline Raffone

Madeline (Piombino) Raffone 89 of North Haven passed away peacefully on December 3, 2018. She was born January 17, 1929 in New Haven to Peter and Lillian (Rotondo) Piombino. Madeline is survived by her two loving children, Bernadette Cwiertniewicz (Joseph) of Maine, Paul Raffone (Eunice) of Milford along with 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a sister, Eleanor Mustaro (Vincent) of Madison. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dante Raffone (2012), sister, Elvira Piombino and brother, Domenic Piombino.

Madeline was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, cooking, baking, knitting and making ceramics. She was a former employee of G & O Heating Exchange in New Haven. The family would like to thank the entire staff of Skyview Center in Wallingford for their kind and compassionate care.

Family will receive friends and family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Her funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home on Thursday, December 6, at 10:40 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of Our Lady of Pompeii, 355 Foxon Rd., East Haven with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
