Obituary of John Hudson

John “Jack” Hudson 81 of Orange passed away December 9, 2018 at Masonicare in Wallingford. He was born April 12, 1937 in Woodbridge to Frederick and Rose (Walker) Hudson. John is survived by his three loving children, John Hudson (Mary) of Orange, David Hudson (Vicki) of Killingworth and Denise Paley (Roger) of E. Haddam along with seven grandchildren, John Hudson (Sarah), Amanda Hudson, Joshua Hudson, Patrick Hudson, Christopher DuBois (Lina), Nicholas Hovan (Nicole) and Meaghan Caravan (Eric). Jack is also survived by three great grandchildren, Jack, Luke and Hudson and a brother, Frederick Hudson (Betty) of Alabama. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bette (Miller) Hudson and a brother, Richard Hudson.

Jack was a Marine and following discharge from the Corps worked as a plumber/steamfitter and later worked and retired from CW Pond Electric in Stamford.  He was both a pilot and a sailor which he enjoyed with his wife and children.  He was a kind man, a loyal friend, an animal lover and a beloved Papa to his grandchildren.  

Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven with Committal and military honors to follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
