Geno was a one-of-a kind soul. A very loving and caring person. The only things he loved more than his family and friends are The New York Yankees, New York Jets and playing softball. The Jets, he would tell you, were the bane of his existence. To quote WFAN sports talk host Joe Benigno, “Oh the Pain!” You would also find him a majority of the time in one of two places, on the softball field or at home taking a long nap or playing video games. If you were lucky enough to be a family member or close friend, he would give you the shirt off his back or more. To quote the greatest wrestler of all time and one of Geno’s favorites, he would often yell this after getting a base hit or more during softball….”WOOOOOOOO!”
Family will receive friends on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private.
