Marie Antonia (Coppola) Nuzzello 80 of East Haven passed away April 5, 2019 at CT Hospice. She was born October 23, 1938 in New Haven to Salvatore “Bill” and Lucy (Fratantonio) Coppola. Marie is survived by her four loving children, Patricia Nuzzello (companion, Rich Kulenowski), James Nuzzello Jr. (companion, Janis Johnson) , Donna Nuzzello and Lucy Nuzzello all of East Haven along with her nine grandchildren, Michelle, Kevin, Lucia, Alphonse, William, Vincent, Jessica, James and Antonio, who was especially dear to her heart and who devoted himself to his grandmothers care.She is also survived by four great grandchildren, Andrew, Kevin, Olivia and Isabella and a sister, Patricia Butler. Marie is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Frank Coppola.

Marie graduated from Hillhouse High school in 1956 where she met lifelong friends. She was a strong, independent woman who selflessly raised her 4 children and delicated her life to her family and friends. Marie worked many years as a machine operator at Cloride and Aura companies, and then a laborer at C&F Cheese.  After retirement Marie enjoyed outings and ladies getaways with both her dear cousins Theresa’s, and her dear friend Annette. Marie lived  her later years at Messina Drive where she will always be remembered for her generous heart and her one of a kind gift of gab.

Family will receive friends from 4 - 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial at a later date.
