Obituary of Frank Giannone

Please share a memory of Frank to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Frank Augustine Giannone, 67 of Madison, CT, formally of Turnersville, NJ and San Diego, CA. He was born April 15, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY, child of the late Biagio Giannone and Mary (Genovese) Giannone. Loving brother of Anthony (Kathleen), Neil Giannone (deceased, April 2020), Deborah (John), Jamie and Lori (Larry), and will be dearly missed by his family, including his Uncle Jimmy Genovese and loving nieces and nephews. It’s impossible to put into a few paragraphs the life of one person who has touched so many lives. Frankie was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back even if he didn’t have a shirt. Despite having a terminal illness, Frankie was always upbeat, pleasant, generous to a fault, and easy to get along with. He always respected everyone else’s opinion, and he always threw in a zinger when you least expected it, which made you laugh out loud. He also had a memory like an elephant. Frankie was a big movie buff and loved classic rock. He was very insightful, quick-witted and intelligent. He was very proud of his service to his country. He was beyond generous to his family and friends, choosing gifts on a whim, and they were always suited to the family member or friend – very intuitive and considerate. A big Mets fan and a sports fanatic, especially horse racing. He was so knowledgeable about horses, their jockeys, and their trainers. His positive attitude is a lesson for us all. He handled his day-to-day struggles with dignity and humor and lived his last days with a smile. God called him home, and we know he is with the angels. Mask wearing family and friends are invited to meet and attend a graveside service on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 1 P.M. in the VA Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown CT 06457.
