Mildred T. Thibault, age 82, of East Haven, loving wife of 54 years to the late Joseph Louis Thibault Jr., passed away on December 24, 2020 at home. Daughter of the late Mildred (Gleason) and Edward R. Abner. She is survived by her sons Michael (Judy) Thibault of North Haven and David (Trish) Thibault of Guilford, sister Peggy Riccitelli of Old Saybrook, grandchildren, Danielle Kowalczyk (Paul) of Milford, Bianca Marques (Matthew) of Durham, Kyle Thibault of Clinton, Jessica, Stephen and Shea Thibault of Guilford, Vinny Thibault of Waterbury, Sara & Anthony Thibault of Washington state, great grandchildren Kaitlyn (Sara), Avery (Bianca & Matt) and Cameron (Danielle & Paul) and dear friends Terri Cote and Diane Brecciaroli of Branford. She was predeceased by her son Joseph Louis Thibault III, and sisters, Eleanor Parise, Marion Flynn and Helen Benham. Born in New Haven in 1938, Mildred was a warm, loving stay at home mom while her sons were young. She was co-owner of Home Sweet Home Cleaning Service. Later she worked for her sister Peggy at The Learning Tree Daycare Center in Guilford. She also worked with her friend Diane at DBL Associates and, most recently with Terri at Terri’s Hairlines in Branford. She traveled abroad with her family to her native land of Ireland. Her greatest joys, beyond her faith, were being a Grandma and Great Grandma, family vacations on Cape Cod, reading, doing crossword puzzles, weekend trips to day spas, and cooking crepes and old family recipes for her family and friends. Services are being privately held. A celebration of her life with be held next summer, details will be communicated at that time. She will be laid to rest with her husband Louis at the East Lawn Cemetery in East Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to Hope Christian Church of North Haven, CT.
