Obituary of Elizabeth Mazzetta

Elizabeth “Betty” (Longfellow) Mazzetta, 80, of East Haven went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 18, 2021. She was born January 29, 1940 in Augusta, Maine to Ruel and Lillia (Jones) Longfellow. Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Anthony “Tony” Mazzetta and children; David Morcus of East Haven, Michelle Smith (Harry) of East Haven and Jeff Mazzetta (Michelle) of Rockfall, CT along with five grandchildren whom she adored, Tim Mazzetta (Megan Govel), Casey DeLucia (Christopher), Jeff Mazzetta Jr. (Karen), Nathan Mazzetta and Gianna Mazzetta. She is also survived by one great grandchild, Jacob Mazzetta, a sister, Cynthia Solomon of Kent, CT and numerous nieces/nephews. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents, son, James A. Mazzetta (2017) and brothers, Harry and Robert Longfellow and sister, Linda Kelley. Besides her immediate family, Betty also had her family at Westville Bible Chapel and many wonderful friends, all of whom she loved so dearly. Betty also leaves behind her beloved dog, Lizzy. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff in the MICU in Verdi North at Yale New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael’s campus. Family will receive mask wearing friends on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 9 AM until the time of service at 10:30 AM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will follow at Branford Center Cemetery, Branford CT.
