Obituary of Ernest Grande

Ernest Grande, 86 of East Haven passed peacefully, surrounded by his family on March 12, 2021 at CT Hospice. He was born June 10, 1934 in New Haven to Frank and Elizabeth (Nappi) Grande. Ernest is survived by his three devoted children, Mark Grande (Donna) of Northford, Steven Grande (Lisa) of E. Longmeadow, MA and Lauren Conroy of East Haven. Ernest was a proud grandfather of ten grandchildren; Mark Grande Jr., Deanna Grande, Benjamin Grande (Jennifer), Jordan Grande (Chance Wright), Madison Grande (Eric DeWolfe), Payton Grande, Michael Conroy, Nicole Conroy, Brandon Conroy and Robert Davis along with three great grandchildren, Mayah Conroy, Riley DeWolfe and Bowen Wright. He is also survived by a sister, Frances Viscuso of Branford and a brother, Frank “Sonny” Grande of West Haven. Ernest is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Barbara (Laurello) Grande (2019), his parents and siblings, Julia Bellonio, Sal Grande, Virginia Musso, Louise Barone and Sue Criscuolo. Ernest Grande was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He adored his family and loved having gatherings at his home. He was a hard working man, US Army veteran and later transferred to the National Guard, avid Yankee collector and dedicated fan. All services are private with Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
