Obituary of John DelMonico Jr.

John R. DelMonico Jr. 67 of Branford passed away October 7, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born October 8, 1954 in Bangor, Maine to John R. DelMonico Sr. of East Haven and Marie (Haskell) DelMonico of East Haven. John is survived by his parents, companion of 15 years, Bethann Cameron of Branford and his sisters, Jean Dagliere (Albert) of East Haven, Melissa Montuori (Michael) of Branford and Angelina DelMonico of East Haven and a step-sister, Ruby Caruso (Ralph) of Branford. John is also survived his nieces/nephews, Nicole Buzzanco (Pasquale), Kara Kucenski (Kevin), Chaz Montuori (fiance, Stephanie) and Michael Montuori Jr. along with several great nieces/nephews. Johnny loved life and lived it how he wanted. What he enjoyed most was gatherings with his family, playing with all the kids and making us laugh. He was quite the jokester. He also loved to eat, especially mom’s cooking. When he was younger he loved to go out and sing karaoke and had a great voice. His favorite song to sing was "You belong to me" by the Duprees. He was an avid bowler, liked to shoot darts, go antiquing, fishing, camping, anything to do with nature and animals. Some of his favorite television shows were action movies, comedies, wrestling, Gold Rush and Alaskan Bush People. John had just purchased an antique car, a 1949 Desoto, and looking forward to attending car shows. He will truly be missed by all. Family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until the time of service at 7 P.M. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, CT. Burial will be private.
