Nancy (Maisano) Thomasson, 83, of East Haven passed away February 21, 2022 at Middlesex Health Care. She was born March 31, 1938 in New York City to Frank and Emma (Kobs) Maisano. Nancy is survived by her two sons, Robert Thomasson (Jamie Nocera) of Guilford and Steven Thomasson (Debi) of Plainfield along with eight grandchildren. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Laurie Thomasson, son, David Thomasson, brother, Frank Maisano and a sister, Rose Everett. Nancy was a proud US Air Force veteran serving her country from 1958 till 1960, during her time of service; she worked on the NASA Space Project. She earned her Master Degree of social work at Fordham University in New York City while caring for her four children as a single mother. She enjoyed traveling in her RV motorhome and spent time in Arizona, Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Canyon among other places throughout the country, like her cabin, or by the sea, and in the mountains or in the desert…… wherever she wanted to be. She will be missed by all. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a graveside service with Full Military Honors by the US Air Force on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown CT. Please meet directly at the cemetery office. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
