Richard “Rick” Hallet 80 of East Haven passed away May 5, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born January 18, 1942 in Derby to Adam and Helen (Osinsky) Hallet. Richard is survived by his wife of 28 years, Joan (O’Keefe) Hallet and his two children, Lisa Brown (Bill Brown) of Derby and David Hallet (Lorraine) of Ansonia and two step-daughters, Cheryl Coderre (Raymond) of Northford and Darlene Tetreault (Steven) of Fall River, MA along with four grandchildren, Sarah Brown, Tyler Hallet, Garrett Hallet and Sophie Coderre and a sister, Jean Wakeman (Gary). Richard is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Louise (Imperato) Hallet, granddaughter, Mirissa Medeiros and two brothers, Edward and Brad Hallet. Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was devoted to God and his faith. Anyone who knew or met Rick immediately recognized he was a good man with a loving heart that touched the lives of all he encountered. He was a great conversationalist who will be dearly missed. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 P.M. on Monday May 9, 2022 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven CT. A Mass of Christian burial be will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 10 at 9 A.M. in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of Our Lady of Pompeii, 355 Foxon Rd., East Haven with Committal and US Marine Corp Honors to follow at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven.
