Marguerite Kripps 92, of East Haven passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on June 1, 2022. She was born February 7, 1930 in New Haven to George and Margaret (Day) Porter. Marguerite is survived by her devoted children, Robin Wallen (widow of Brian Wallen) of East Haven, David Kripps (Edna) of New Haven and Brian Kripps (Elizabeth Bredeau) of Branford along with five grandchildren, Cheryl Wallen (Phillipe Lombardi), Dawn Wallen (David Estep), David Kripps Jr. (Darion), Shannon Kripps (Ben Yarrington) and Allen Kripps. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Corey Smith (Elizabeth Trobe), Brandon Smith, Ariana Martoni, Brian Martoni, Samuel Estep, David John Kripps III, Balthazar Kripps and Charlotte Yarrington. Marguerite is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Kripps, sons, Richard Kripps Jr. and Robert Kripps and one grandson, Brian Wallen Jr. Marguerite enjoyed spending her spare time crocheting afghans. She has made many one of a kind creations. If you were one of the lucky ones she would let you pick your colors. She was an amazing artist. These are now some of our cherished heirlooms. Marguerite loved the simple things in life like going for Sunday drives or a game of cards with her beloved husband and mother. She taught all the grand kids how to play. She loved the beauty in nature. She loved gardening and all types of birds. She leaves behind her 3 beloved parakeets. But most of all she loved her family and spending time with them. She loved telling stories or listen to their stories. She was a spitfire and some days you truly didn't know what would come out of her mouth. She lived life on her terms and we loved her for that! She will truly be missed by all. But her famous last words…..it is what it is! A private graveside service will be held at All Saints Cemetery in North Haven and under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
