Margaret Ann (Coppola) Canna, 93 of East Haven passed away peacefully September 26, 2022. She was born September 5, 1929 in East Haven to Joseph and Margaret (Gambardella) Coppola. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent G. Canna Sr. Margaret is survived by her four children, Linda Canna of Guilford, Phyllis Emielita (Edward) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Margaret Rose (James) of Guilford and Vincent G. Canna Jr. (Diane) of Guilford along with six grandchildren, Edward Emielita (Katie), Brittany N’Dabian (Cedric), Meghan DelVecchio (Joseph), Melissa Grande (Jonathan), Kyle Canna (Rachel) and Ryan Canna. Margaret is also survived by three great grandchildren, Noelle N’Dabian, Madalyn N’Dabian and Jack DelVecchio and her siblings, Anthony Coppola (Phyllis), James Coppola, Anna Papa and Elizabeth Streeto. Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Ralph, Joseph, John, Salvatore, Harry and William Coppola, Maria La Fogg, Rose M. D’Amato and Helen Lickteig. Margaret, known as Marge to her friends, was a caregiver for most of her life. She began with her siblings and children, moving on to loving relationships with her grandchildren. During her stay as a resident at Peregrines in Clinton, she was the prom queen, which was such a great moment! She moved to Artis Senior Living in Branford and became an Ambassador, guiding other residents in the facility. Over the last few years, she was lovingly cared for at Mary Wade Nursing Home. A special thank you to Mary Wade and Connecticut Hospice, as they were wonderful. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 11 A.M. in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven CT. Donations may be made to the CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford CT 06405 or the Mary Wade Home, 118 Clinton Ave., New Haven CT 06513 in memory of Margaret Canna.
