Helen (D’Andrea) Nigro, 92, of East Haven passed away October 1, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born September 18, 1930 in Brooklyn to William and Mary (Barbato) D’Andrea. Helen is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, John Nigro and two children, Denise Treusch (Jeff) of East Haven and John Nigro Jr. of East Haven. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Jeffrey Treusch (Alessandra Taddei) and Michael Nigro and one great grandson, Jacs Treusch.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Valarie Nigro and her four siblings, Ann Cappella, Gus D’Andrea, Rachael DeFillippo and Janet Girimonte.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 4 P.M. until the time of service at 7 P.M. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. The family will gather on Thursday, October 6 at 10 A.M. at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home with her procession leaving at 10:45 A.M. for a graveside service at 11 A.M. in East Lawn Cemetery, 58 River Street, East Haven.
