I have so many find memories of Bob teaching me how to sail as a child with his boys, Mark and Kurt. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. He was a wonderful, wonderful man.

I was Administrative Associate to Professor and Chairman Handschumacher in the Department of Pharmacology, Yale School of Medicine. During those years I came to know a dedicated scientist, teacher and a readily available participant when other needs were evident. Besides his research laboratory, concerns about the chairmanship of a large and productive department, he traveled often to lecture and share his work both in the United States and abroad. Dr. Handschumacher mentored or partnered with many colleagues and students in other areas who benefitted from his experience. He will be fondly remembered by all.

We were so honored to work side by side with Bob and his family. As caregivers, it is amazing what we observe and receive from our clients and families while trying to give of ourselves. Hearing Bob's life story, it was easy to care for him in his time of need. Bob's smile and energy could light up a stadium if bottled. His ability's to listen and problem solve were immense and heart felt. His love of teaching was evident and well received by caregivers through all of his days. Bob will be missed by all whose lives he touched. When thinking of Bob, we have only smiles to share in his honor. In loving memory, Vickie Adorno And, All caregiver staff at Dignity Plus Home Care who worked with Bob: Mike, Christine, Eliana and Micheala
