Thomas C. Luce 76, of Florence, South Carolina, formerly of East Haven, passed away October 2, 2022 in Florence. He was born November 9, 1945 in Derby CT to Charles and Vivien (Crocker) Luce. Thomas is survived by his three loving children, Robert W. Luce (Anne-Marie) of N. Stonington, Sheryl Doebrick (George) of East Haven and Tina Ferrara (Joseph) of East Haven along with seven grandchildren, Robert Luce, Rachel Luce, James Doebrick (Leigh), Samantha Doebrick, McKenna Doebrick, Jake Ferrara and Joseph Ferrara. He is also survived by his three great grandchildren, Emma, Breanna and Penelope Doebrick and two brothers, Richard Luce of Hamden and James Luce (Shannon) of Texas. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, wife, MaryEllen (Onofrio) Luce and a sister, Karen Ferraro. Thomas served in the US Navy on the USS Koelsch Destroyer Escort. He was a certified master mechanic and worked at various garages and dealerships ending his career at the USPS, retiring in 2006.He loved fishing, woodworking and working with computers. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a graveside service with US Navy Military Honors on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11 A.M. in East Lawn Cemetery, 58 River Street, East Haven. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
