Obituary of Ronald Peterson

Please share a memory of Ronald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ronald Dean Peterson 67, of North Branford passed away at home on November 28, 2022. He was born August 14, 1955 in Danbury, CT to the late Laura Peterson. Ronald is survived by his two loving daughters, Brittany Peterson Restucci (Francis) and Briana Peterson both of Patterson, NY along with one grandson he adored, Dean Peterson. Ronald is also survived by his sister, Diane DaCosta (widow of Joseph DaCosta) of North Branford. Ron grew up in Stamford, CT and was a graduate of Stamford High School. He was an avid sports fan as well as a member of the Stamford softball league. He married and welcomed 2 daughters in the late 1980s. He was an arborist by profession and took his responsibility of caring for the growth of tomorrow very seriously. He would kindly spread his knowledge of trees, plants, and nature with passion to any and everyone. Ron was a devoted father and traveled the East coast with his daughters for their love and his love of softball and sports. Ron was blessed with a grandson, Dean, whom he loved and adored. In his later years, after retirement, his focus was teaching his grandson about life and taking care of his faithful canine companion, Angus. Ron would appear as if he took life seriously, but to those who knew him best, he would do anything to make you smile. He was a simple man. In his eyes, the most valuable things in life had no price. Life was measured by moments of laughter, love, and everlasting relationships. A father is the most unsung hero. They don’t throw parades for fathers or make movies about those quiet moments of valuable life lessons. A father just does. And sometimes, just watching how a man lives, is the lesson in itself. “May you see God’s light on the path ahead when the road you walk is dark. May you always hear, even in your hour of sorrow, the gentle singing of the lark. When times are hard may hardness never turn your heart to stone, may you always remember when the shadows fall- you do not walk alone.” All services are private and under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven CT.
