The best memories of my Nonni was when I would walk through the door and she would give me the strongest and tightest hugs. Even though we were the same height, she was definitely twice as strong as me! I remember when I was a little girl she would sit me on her lap and call me her Principessa (which means Princess in Italian). I always felt so special and loved when she called me that. Another thing I loved that she did was the way she would say “I love you” it was more like “I luva you”, and it always made me laugh as it still does now. I was fortunate to have my Nonni at 25 years old and I know I’ll see her again. To the best Nonni ever, you will be missed. I luva you!

Mia cara Nonnina,
I don’t know how to begin because I can’t believe this is the end of our time on earth together. You were the epitome of the woman I hoped to become. The many memories we shared together, from sewing, watching your favorite shows/movies, going on random drives to visit anyone we could just to get out, to our Sunday Walmart trips, to our many conversations, I will hold them deep in my heart. Our time together was the best gift you could have ever given me. As far as I can remember, you were patient, selfless, and a God fearing woman. You were the matriarch to this family, who were beyond blessed to spend 87 plus years with you. Even in my worst time you never judged me, you lent your ear whenever I needed your advice. You always told me “Dio ti benedirà, figlia mia and boy were you right because I was blessed to have so many years and memories with you. The kids and I will forever remember the values you instilled in us. Our lives with forever be changed, we will miss you more than words can ever express. You were my Angel on earth, now you’re my Angel in Heaven, watching over me, Jayden, and Josiah.

Nonna, I was blessed to have you present when I took my first breath. Your prayers gave carried me throughout my life. I'm going to miss the strong hugs you gave me, and the way you smiled every time I saw you. What a blessing it was and always will be to have had you not only as my mother but as my sister in Christ. You were misunderstood at times but usually the strong ones always are. If I can describe you in one word it would be “strength.” As I go about my life, and question what to do in a situation, I look back at your life remember your steadfastness in God. You always pointed me to Him. As a child, I followed you as you followed Him. And now your greatest gift to me besides giving me life, is the greatest gift of all, leading me to Christ for eternal life and I now follow His ways. For that, I look forward to seeing you again in His presence. Until then Mommy, I will talk of you to my children, and one day my grandchildren and hopefully great grandchildren like you had. I will make sure, they will all know, what a strong and loving mother you were. Thank you for your testimony. Ti voglio tanto tanto bene oggie e per l’ternita.

My Nonna... You made it! You're with Jesus. It hurts us so bad to not be with you, all the more to follow in your example. Nonna, I love you so much!! You always put all of our needs before yours. Thank you for instilling all the right qualities in us and always keeping the faith... even when I tried to give you a million reasons to quit. Your love and your flawless recipes that you have passed down to me will stay in my heart forever.
I could go on about all the times I used to sleep in your bed and how you never turned me away. Those memories are now apart of me and I can't wait to see you again.
Percy, Makyah, Malakhi and I, will miss you UNCONDITIONALLY.
