Elaine (Lamb) Blossom 89 of North Branford passed on May 31, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born July 24, 1933 in South Paris, Maine to Conrad and Celia (Smith) Lamb. Elaine was a devoted mother, aunt and grandmother who leaves behind many family members to cherish her memory. She is survived by her brother Hayward Lamb of Iowa; daughter Marcia Duenkel (George d.) of North Branford and her children Emily Duenkel, Kaye Gustavson (Vincent) and grandchildren Vincent, Jocelyn and Henry; daughter Teresa Bryant of Meriden and her children Nathaniel, Devin and Leonard and her grandchildren. In her later years, Elaine was blessed by her granddaughter’s dedicated and tender caregiving. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, foster son Jason Maianson, grandsons, Christopher Tacuone and Zachary Bryant, son-in-law and faithful caregiver George Duenkel, her siblings, Newton Lamb, Stanton Lamb, Sayward Lamb and Jeanne Whittemore. Elaine was a financial assistant at Yale University and retired after serving for over 25 years. She was an active member of the North Branford Congregational Church and served as Financial Secretary for many years. She was also a member of the church choir. A Memorial service for Elaine will be held at The North Branford Congregational Church, 1680 Foxon Road, North Branford, on Wednesday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. A private burial will take place at a later date.
