Herbert C. Roehl Jr., of East Haven, passed away on August 5, 2014 at the Branford Hospice facility. Herbert was born on September 17, 1936 in New Haven to the late Herbert and Mary Francis Roehl. He is predeceased by his wife Jean, son Jeff and three sisters; Delia Zampano, Eileen Crease, and Elizabeth Frederick. Herbert was the former owner of Fountain Garage in New Haven and was also an employee for many years at State Line Potato Chips and finished his career as a parts delivery driver for Auto Electric in New Haven. He was a lifelong member of St. Clare Church in East Haven. Herbert is survived by his two children John, and Jerry (Carol) Daley and his brothers and sisters; Charles Roehl (Geraldine) of Southington CT, Mary Stimpson (Robert) of Summerville SC, Christine Johnson (Donald) of North Haven CT, Dorothy Kopasz (George) of Stratford CT, William Roehl (Catherine) of North Haven CT. He is survived by 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday August 8, 2014 at 11:30 at All Saints Cemetery 700 Middletown Ave in North Haven.
