Obituary of Elizabeth Finn Meagher

Elizabeth Finn Meagher, 87 of East Haven and Meriden, passed away November 5, 2014. She was born May 3, 1927 in Fordham, NY to Gerald and Agnes (Rogers) Finn. She is preceded in death by parents and husband, Garrett Meagher. Elizabeth is survived by four sons; David Meagher (Barbara) of Newington, Gary Meagher (Joan) of Meriden, Richard Meagher (Barbara) of Wallingford and Robert Meagher (Joan) of Ann Arbor, MI, seven grandchildren; Christine Pasinski, Stephen Meagher (Danielle), Daniel Meagher, Melissa Meagher, Ryan Meagher, Matthew Meagher (Diana) and Rebecca Meagher. Elizabeth is also survived by two great grandchildren; Ashlyn Pasinski and Jolle Meagher and a sister, Celine Finn of Hamden. Elizabeth was an administrative assistant with Second New Haven National Bank, then later at Planners in Hamden and also worked with the New Haven Railroad. She was a member of Norte Dame of West Haven Mother’s Club, Mother’s Circle and Our Lady of Pompeii Ladie’s Guild. Family will receive friends from 8 – 8:30 AM on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home at 8:40 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in Our Lady of Pompeii Catholic Church, 355 Foxon Rd., East Haven with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
