Martha (Sanderson) Smith, 88 of New Haven and Perkinsville, VT passed away January 9, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 31, 1926 in New Haven to John and Gleneida (Richardson) Sanderson. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, Charles Smith (1989) and sister, Gleneida Malone. Martha is survived by three loving nieces and one nephew; Gleneida Motzko of Ledyard, James Malone (Lynne) of Guilford, Cathleen Saville (Richard) of Branford and Margaret Malone of Branford. Martha is also survived by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Martha was a retired employee of Mobile Oil with over 45 years of service.
Family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until the time of service at 11:30 on Friday, January 16, 2015 in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will follow at East Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach, Branford CT 06405 in memory of Martha Smith.
