Obituary of Julia Bimonte

Julia Bimonte, 90 of North Branford, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2015 at CT Hospice. She was born January 30, 1925 in New Haven to Michael and Adeline (Guarasci) Giaquinto. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, Joseph R. Bimonte (1982), son, Joseph Bimonte (1999) and six brothers; Andrew, Raymond, Anthony, Louis, Pasquale and Rev. Albert Giaquinto and three sisters; Tomasina Santamauro, Phyllis Pieragostini and Mary Marino. Julia is survived by three loving children; Gloria Bimonte (lifetime companion Bruce Nielsen) of Sullivan, NH and Robin Porter (Jack) of Branford and Richard Bimonte of Toms River, NJ. Julia is also survived by four grandchildren, Rachel Porter, Stephanie Porter, Joseph Bimonte, Gianna Bimonte and great granddaughter, Mia. Julia was a proud member of the St. Augustine Parish community. She spent time at the North Branford Senior Citizen Center and through her life had interests in bowling, bingo, crocheting, and baking. Her greatest joy was making you smile and being surrounded by family and friends. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 14 in St. Augustine Church, 30 Caputo Rd., North Branford.
