Obituary of Ralph Infante

Ralph Infante “Raffaele”, 75 of New Haven passed away March 6, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born March 16, 1939 in Minori, Italy to Biagio and Mariantonietta (Persico) Infante. He is preceded in death by parents and siblings; Frank Infante, Rosa Zizzi, John Infante, Matteo Infante, Emilio Infante and Antonio Infante. Ralph is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patricia (Amodio) Infante and three children; Maria Berrios (Johnny) of Wallingford, John Infante (Tricia) of Wallingford and Biagio Infante of New Haven. Ralph is also survived by five grandchildren; Kyle Berrios, John Infante, Ralph Infante, Aiden Infante, Zoe Infante, a sister, Carmela Schiavo (Antonio) of North Haven and many nieces and nephews. Ralph was best known as a baker for Donut Village Inc. which his brother Frankie owned and operated. He also worked at Mr. Donut and Dunkin’ Donuts of East Haven and held a variety of jobs throughout his life including Elmwood Upholstery, and was a Security and Crossing Guard.Ralph was a proud, loving father and grandfather who always had time for his family. He loved teaching his children how to fish, whether on his boat or off a pier. He enjoyed tending the community garden in his neighborhood and shared the experience with his grandchildren. His dog Skyla will miss him also. Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 11:30 am in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private. The Infante family wishes to extend sincere and special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and the staff at the Smilow Cancer Hospital. Their compassion and professional care during Ralph's illness will never be forgotten.
