Ronald Paolillo, 88, of East Haven, passed away March 27, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born May 31, 1926 in New Haven to Alphonse and Lucia DiLieto Paolillo, who preceded him in death. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ann Bertier Paolillo, and four children: Joseph and Deborah Johnson Paolillo of Hamden, Susan and William Ryczek of Wallingford, Ronald and Geryl Rose Paolillo of Windsor, and Roberta and Edward Benoit of Meriden. Ronald is also survived by four beloved grandchildren: Michael Ryczek, Anne Marie Ryczek, Julia Paolillo, and Lauren Benoit; two sisters: Antoinette Culos and Carmel DeMichele; three nieces: Lucille Houde, Gina Johnson, and Lauri DeMichele; and three nephews: Alphonse Paolillo, John Paolillo, and John Culos. He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Paolillo. Ronald was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Yale University as an electrician. He was a Fourth Degree member of the Fr. Regan Council #3300 Knights of Columbus and a former trustee and daily communicant of St. Vincent De Paul Church. Ronald was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He took great pride and joy in making others happy. His family would like to thank Dr. David Eilbott for his excellent care. Family will receive friends on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 8-10:40 AM at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Vincent De Paul Church, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven, with committal to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Church, 80 Taylor Avenue, East Haven, CT 06512, in memory of Ronald.
