Elizabeth “Betty” Novicki 92 of New Haven passed away at CT Hospice on May 4, 2015. She was born February 14, 1923 in New Haven to William and Margaret (Brereton) McKay. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, Matthew Novicki, sisters, Marie Farrell and Frances McDonald, brothers, William, James, John and Walter McKay. Betty is survived by three loving children; Matthew Novicki Jr. of New Haven, daughters, Peggy Kania of New Haven and Patty Libero (Michael) of North Branford, five grandchildren; Paul Kania, Amber Kania, Michael Libero Jr. (Morgan), Ashley Abate (Michael), Nicole Libero (fiancé’, Robert) and two great grandchildren; Christian Kania and Michael Libero III. Betty is also survived by brother, Irving McKay (Dorothy) of East Haven, sister, Joan Hurley (Frank) of East Haven and sister-in-law, Phyllis McKay. Family will receive friends from 8:30 – 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home at 10:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Aedan Catholic Church, 112 Fountain Street, New Haven with Committal to follow at Beaverdale Memorial Park.
