Robert F. Anderson Sr. 71 of East Haven passed away July 2, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital, Smilow Cancer Center after a courageous battle with Leukemia. He was born January 17, 1944 in New Haven. He is preceded in death by father, Homer Anderson and son, Robert Anderson Jr. Robert is survived by his loving daughter, Melissa Spaduzzi (Vincent) of East Haven, three grandchildren; Jason Anderson (Meghan), Amanda Anderson and Robert Anderson III and one great grandson, Jason Robert Anderson. Robert is also survived by daughter-in-law, Patricia Anderson of FL, and seven siblings; Gail Anderson, Lillian Geraci, Diane Boteler (Joe), Madeline Jason, Judy Russo (Vincent), Penny Labombard and Pam Anderson. Bob was a kind man loving man that lived life to the fullest. Nothing made him happier than his grandchildren. He was a lifelong die hard New York Mets fan. Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
