Mary (Torre) Celotto 97 of East Haven passed away July 4, 2015 at CT Baptist Home in Meriden. She was born November 17, 1917 in New Haven to Charles and Rachel (Apuzzo) Torre. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Celotto (1984), sister, Concetta DePaola and four brothers, Joseph Torre, James Torre, Tony Squillo and Angelo Squillo. Mary is survived by four children, Michael Celotto (Sharon) of Haddam, Counsel O’Connor (James) of New Haven, JoAnn Zito (Joseph) of East Haven and Mary Celotto of Wallingford. Mary is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, sister, Helen Migliore and brother, Frank Torre. Mary was a retired employee of Federal Paperbox with over 20 years of service. She enjoyed bingo, reading, bowling, bocce and spending time with her family and dog companion “Max.” Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 PM (TODAY) Monday, July 6, 2015 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral on Tuesday, July 7 at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Ave. East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
