Obituary of Catherine Tynan

Catherine (Neville) Tynan 92 of East Haven and Wallingford passed away surrounded by her family on September 4, 2015 at the Regency House in Wallingford. She was born December 24, 1922 in Derby to Dennis and Catherine (Narkin) Neville. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, Martin Tynan (2008), daughter, Diane Marino, son, Dennis Tynan, sister, Shirley Rider and a brother, Thomas Neville. Catherine is survived by two loving daughters; Kathleen McKiernan (Mark) of Wallingford, Cheryl Tynan (John Dandelski) of Wallingford, three grandchildren; Jennifer Tetreault (Eric), Hunter Wogahn, Anita Marino, ten step-grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Catherine, "Kay", will be remembered for her quick wit - always right on target with just the perfect timing. She shared her love of singing with anyone who would listen. She was proud of her magical rhythm and dancing talents that she perfected with her husband of 62 years, Marty. Catherine loved bingo, parades, tag sales, playing the organ and singing. Her favorite thing was being the boss. She did that until the very end. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Taylor Ave, East Haven with Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery. We want to thank the many wonderful people at the Regency House who enjoyed our mother and loved her for who she was. Although she always wanted to go "home", there was nothing better than being somewhere surrounded by people who love her like we do.
