Linda Tipping, 70, of Manchester, formerly of East Haven, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Linda was born in New Haven on December 8, 1946, the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (Gilbert) Tipping. She is survived by her loving daughter Christin LaBelle (Paul) of Kensington, son Jeffrey DeMatto of Canterbury, grandson Mason DeMatto and future grandson Ryan LaBelle. Linda is also survived by her brother Russell Tipping (Margaret), half-brothers Gilbert Digby, William Digby (Jane-Margaret), and numerous nieces/nephews and cousins. Linda graduated with honors from ECSU and had many different occupations throughout her career, including high school English teacher, Associate Director of Planned Giving and Development, and most recently as Community Outreach Coordinator for the Hospital of Central CT and MidState Medical Center before retiring. She was an active member of the Board of Directors Southington Chamber of Commerce and United Way, and past President of Rotary. Linda most enjoyed being with her family and friends. Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 11am until the time of service at 1pm in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private.
