Diosdada “Dady” Martinez 80 of New Haven passed away peacefully on January 21, 2018 at St. Raphael Campus of YNN Hospital. She was born October 20, 1937 in Puerto Rico to Francisco and Ann (Riveria) Rosario. Diosdada is survived by her son, Francisco Martinez Jr. of Texas, granddaughter, Victoria Martinez of New Haven, brothers, Francisco Rosario Jr. (Mirtha) of New Haven and Victor Rosario (Carmen) of NY and two sisters, Carmen Gutirez of Puerto Rico and Millin Rosario of NY. Dady is also survived by numerous nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews. Diosdada is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Francisco Martinez (2014) and a sister, Anna Bodon. Dady loved to shop and go out for dinner at the Red Lobster, her favorite place. She enjoyed watching her Spanish channels, painting her nails and spending time with her family. Family will receive friends from 9 – 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, (Clancy Funeral Home) 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home at 10:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Anthony Catholic Church, 70 Washington Avenue, New Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery in East Haven.
